alasen and I are playing lego batman again, on and off, and the villain missions are cool! I think we have been re-invigorated by the fact that lego batman 2 is out next month - IT HAS LEGO SUPERMAN THERE IS ONLY AWESOME THERE.

I think I would be more willing to watch the actual games if all the players were miked up like they are in the road to the winter classic! So many swears! ::chin hands::

Just finished watching the 2011 penguins/caps and about to start the flyers/rangers, but I am a little worried as I knew some of the caps and penguins players from fic, I haven't read much flyers or rangers(apart from how claude giroux and danny brier were living together in french canadian bliss with danny's kids but then alasen told me that they don't live together anymore ;_; )(and that the goalie for the rangers is henrik 'hair like a pelt' lunquivsstlotsofv'sandq's)(and that the rangers have a staaaaaal as well, wait is there a staaaaal agenda with the road to the winter classic? will 2013 be eric's year???)(actually maybe I do know enough!)

I HAD A POINT. Um, I think it was how much I enjoyed the first show! and the music was excellent! and how frustrated I am that googling doesn't get me a comprehensive listing of all the tracks used in all the eps. Has anyone got a complete list?


Caught up with fangirls yesterday at slashers who...meet up with other slashers? Good to see peeps! Sorry if I yelled at anyone! Or made fun of their fandom choices! Wait, I'm not sorry about that second one! ;P

I did say that I would make a hockey player attractive post at some point, like, one that is (supposedly) objective and one that is subjective! Like, ranking them according to ME! the problem I see with this is that objective vs subjective is harrrrrd. like, the russians! they are for the most part objectively fug, yet so adorbs! Also rookies. They are cute, but also they are fetus(fetuii?) and therefore there is an edge of wronginess. like i said, harrrrrrrd.

today I am CLEANING ALL THE THINGS. or at least, cleaning things until I get bored and sit around and read fanfic, so you know, 20% cleaning, 80% fanfic reading. As it should be.

ugh, something in my kitchen smells. I really don't want to find out what.

morning trauma: I don't put my glasses on until after i am conscious but I often put the kettle on first, usually while brushing my teeth(don't ask). This morning I walked to the kitchen, put on the kettle, and on my way back to finish brushing my teeth I noticed that I had stepped on something as I could feel it through my sleep socks. you guys IT WAS A COCKROACH. it was the worst.

I had to throw out the socks, otherwise anytime I put any socks on i would have the lingering thought THESE ARE COCKROACH SOCKS.

3a - hmm, I need a white singlet to go with one of the tops, do I already have one?
4 - waiting for alasen to come over so we can embarrass ourselves playing Star Wars Kinnect
4a - when we played the other week, she was better at using the Force and I was better at lightsabering the fuck out of everything. Which I think re-enforces my personal belief that I would be more likely to turn to the dark side.

I saw battleship last night.

this review sums it up best, but see, I like explosions. My problem was I was enjoying it in a ridiculous GI Joe kind of way, there were some good one liners! and Skarsgård made up for the fact that when Taylor Friday Night Lights was wearing a hat and sunglasses I literally couldn't tell it was him. But then! they did something so unbelievable(in a movie full of stupidly unbelievable things that my enjoyment stopped and my pain began.

and then at the end, people in the audience CLAPPED. reader, I shouted at them.("why would you applaud that? WHY" is what I shouted) AND SO THEY CLAPPED MORE.

hey hey! it was my last day at my job today! I am now officially unemployed! I will be taking a sanity day tomorrow and then on monday start proper job hunting, or at least registering with Temp agencies. Bring on the next thing!

in other news! I am in hockey fandom now? yeah, I don't know. It happened. and I am enjoying it? It's hard to stick to OTP's though. Apart from Dunc 'n Seabs. Dunc and Seabs FOREVER.

Saw hnix last night! Awwww hnix!! I have missed you! I have missed making you cry with laughter! My only regret is that perhaps I will not be able to make you choke on a drink with laughter before you go back to your cats!

* a history of american television as told by puppets - from the lone ranger to jersey shore! forgettable show with a great theme song! So many law and orders!

* the TED talk I was telling people about - the power of introverts - a really interesting speech about what introverts bring to the table, how they work and how currently our culture pushes introverts into trying to be extroverts.

* if you are only going to read one hockey rpf - my recommendation is Heart in Hand - this is the first major hockey story I read(I think the first official hockey story I read was that krazy kaner yuletide story from a few years ago) and I can 100% tell you that you do not need as much knowledge to read this as you do for other fics in the fandom. Sid had realized very early on that for better or worse, he would be linked to Alexander Ovechkin for the rest of his life. But he never expected anything like this.

* Clint/Coulson epic story - Disclosures. Long(67k!), really good, and plotty clint/coulson. What I really liked was the show and not tell, especially in the first half of the story. BUT! if you are triggery for stuff, make sure to check the tags.
Phil Coulson is miserable, distrusted by most of SHIELD, and still doesn't remember why.

It's only going to get worse before it gets better.
