meelie+ It's not a good idea to mock a book about astrology someone is buying for their mother. Because, hey, then they tell you that their mother is a syndicated astrologer in magazines. And then you feel like an idiot.
+ I dreamt last night that I was visiting someone who worked for the mob and they had had a fire and all of the strongboxes containing the cash had burnt. The man who was opening up the strongboxes and poring out the ashes of the money told me that the Trickyfish syndicate were not going to be happy about this. Not happy at all.

+ Is it wrong to think that a character in a book named 'Howie P' is a boyband shoutout? Maybe I could believe in my theory more if the book had other badly disguised boyband names. Like, Nick Wagoneer and AJ MacLeod. And they could sing songs like "Display To Me The Definition Of Being Alone", "I Would Like You To Give Me Something In The Particular Way That I Enjoy" and "Stop Messing Around (With My Emotions)"
