how embarrasment
Jul. 30th, 2003 03:14 pmFell out of my chair at work. I'm sure somewhere in the world there are people who can fall out of a chair with style, dignity and grace. I am not one of those people. Took the chair down with me too. We're talking a fairly heavy, lot's of legs and wheels type chair here. It didn't fall on me. Much. Didn't hurt myself, just destroyed the final shreds of my dignity.
Man, I wish I could say this was the only time I've ever fallen out of a chair, but noooo. At least the last time was at my old work. Once again witnessed by many people. The worst time was, I would have to say, in high school when in a Maths class I lent over to pick something I'd dropped on the floor and promptly tipped over sideways, taking the chair with me. Hilarity ensued. I get up straighten up the chair and go back to pretending to pay attention. 5 minutes later something else falls off my desk. haha says I, shan't fall for that one again as I get a firm hold of the desk and leeeean over to pick up whateverthehellitwas. This time I take the chair and the table down with me. More hilarity.
And let's not even start about the time at
alasen's when I destroyed a chair. Again with people watching.
Clearly I should only sit on chairs unsupervised.
