our server at home broke the other night(well, more like "full of cockroaches" than broken, but broken sounds less gross) so I haven't been able to catch up much lately. Token Male Housemate keeps saying he's gonna fix it but all I have seen him do is yell at it and hit it with a hammer. I am no rocket scientist but this to me does not seem like the best way to fix something. So I am behind in livejournal. I am sneaking this entry in at work and have been sneaking looks at my yahoo mail so if anything really exciting has happened in the last few days I probably don't know about it.

anyhoo, meelie and her housemates of DOOM(TM) all went looking at a security unit last night, 'cause everyone is all freaked since we got broken into last week.

The place we looked at was nice and we're putting in an application but my room is smaller('cause it's all about me). and it's foxtel, not optus. and we'll have to get ADSL, not cable. and the rent is more expensive. But, it does have a dishwasher, is pretty much spanking new, has reverse cycle air conditioning, video buzzing up thingy so you can see who you're letting in, a pool, spa, sauna and gym, has three(reasonably sized) bedrooms and a balcony. So I figure it evens out.

Token Male told the guy that showed us around that we were "thinking" about buying a small caged animal and if it would be okay to keep it in the unit, the guy said yeah, so long as it doesn't make noise. So the ferrets, the guinea pig and the bunny better keep it down if we get this place. I don't really care if we don't get it. A new place would be nice, but I am sick of moving. We've moved roughly once a year for the last 4 years. Childhood Friend said she was feeling guilty for making all our friends come and help us move over, and over again so this time we might price how much it would be to get professionals to move our crap.

now I'm gonna get back to work as BossMan comes back on Monday, and I have to pretend that I didn't accidentally read an email from his girlfriend saying they were breaking up. oops.

Noooooo! The world is broken! The new place sounds like it will be good, but I can understand the lack of motivation over moving. It's a severe pain in the arse. I don't want to think about what I'm going to have to go through if I ever move out of the HoF flat. I have so much shit! Eep!

LOL, over the caged animals. I've been advised to not even mention that I have a cat, that I'm to sneak him in later... "The cat just turned up and stuck around."

BTW: Just in case the current lease falls through, the four bedroom split level house above me is also being leased, which is $480 pw.
