I continue to really enjoy this show! I did like that they assumed the audience was smart enough to know who wrote leaves of grass! kudos! of course they had the obligatory talking about it "maybe it's worth something now!" but they didn;t actually namecheck whitman. I was pleasantly surprised!

and haha, doctor the one is married!




and! I finally FINALLY got around to watching the first ep of Ashes to Ashes - AHHHH! CLOWN! that's what I had to keep yelling at the screen. In between moaning in embarrassment for Alex. Who is pretty awesome. But I always wish they could be less crazy seeming to the real/not real/figment people! hee, finger waggling! also: I can;t remember if I ever thought of this in regards to Sam(I think not because originally he was in a coma) but it's interesting that Alex seems to have a Connie Willis 'Passage' type take on her situation - the situation she is in is an elaborate construct of randomly firing neurons in her brain - her comment that Sam 'lived' for seven years which took place in the instance before his death, but she hasn't seemed to realise that all of that information, if her theory is correct, has come from her own mind and is therefore suspect! or something.

In other news, I was cruising a real estate website (as one does) looking at places in the area I used to live and found to my surprise that the old casa de meelie is up for sale! oh, if only I had AU$260,000 lying around! But I would install an airconditioner - that place was an oven in summer!
