hmm. yay Ba'al? It was all a bit x-filey to me(hello jaffa deep throat) and I found my attention wandering at times, but I liked the bit at the beginning where the running jaffa suddenly gets killed by a car. But with the Prometheus in orbit around earth I had to wonder if amateur astronomers get regular visits from the air force telling them that they didn't see anything. I suppose they can handwave "Asgard technology masks it" or whatever, but still, kinda annoying. Also, did we know that they could beam away such a large object as a building? Overall a bit meh, but a meh I want to see what happens with. I also want to know what Ba'al's human name is. Mr Ball? B.A All? Atlantis on the other hand...

Loved it. Sure, my Rodney bias is showing, but I enjoyed the ep and I'm starting to really like Dex, esp his little chat with Teyla about when they are supposed to follow Sheppards' orders. Love. Loved the head thwap Sheppard gave McKay. Loved the way Rodney perked up when they mentioned food at the tavern. I actually liked the story too, interesting to see more of the wraith condition, and was anyone else thinking about "Owl Eyes" by Saleri when Beckett was talking about the bugs combined with human DNA? And I feel sorry for Beckett because he's going to spend countless hours trying to figure out how the serum worked because Old Guy couldn't admit that his daughter had been feeding the whole time.

Dude, Battlestar is so cool. I actually really enjoyed the Baltar/Six scenes this week, mainly cause she was fucking with his head so successfully. And the way she changed into sweats and a ponytail, looking remarkably like Starbuck I might add, was excellent. I love the Chief; "Topography is for pansies anyway" hee! best line of the ep. I worry about you Helo, I worry about you a lot. You are cute but don't trust Sharon! Adama continues to both inspire awe and fear in me, which is his job I suppose. At the end, when he made everyone clap? All I could think of is that he would be the gym teacher from hell.

I had to dl this ep TWICE, because the crimson version was STUPID and EVIL. *fists of rage* So I only just got to watch it.

And the way she changed into sweats and a ponytail, looking remarkably like Starbuck I might add

See, I actually thought she was doing a deliberate Starbuck impersonation at that point. Not just because of her clothes and hair, but also her speech mannerisms and body language were eerily similar, and I say that with all the certainty of obsession. If it was deliberate, then it was incredibly well done, and if it wasn't then she's been spending way too much time with Katee. *g*

"Topography is for pansies anyway" hee! best line of the ep.

Yes! Bwah. I also (predictably) liked "I think that was the lobby".

Helo is indeed cute, but tragically stupid. And I thought the clapping was lame.

dude that sucks about dl'ing it twice.

I thought it might have been on purpose, as Baltar had said something about Starbuck(being the mother of the magic cylon baby?) but you're right it was well done.

The lobby line was good! and why the hell did Billy need to go along with Team Adama? I keep thinking he's a cylon now. speaking of Billy have you seen Billy's shirts of Doom?

And the clapping was totally lame.

Yes, I figured that was why she was doing it - sarcastic wish-fulfillment.

and why the hell did Billy need to go along with Team Adama?

I don't know! Especially after Daddy Adama made such a big deal about how he was the one who could connect to Roslin. Pah.

speaking of Billy have you seen Billy's shirts of Doom?

Hee! No, but that is excellent. I did just find this rather unsettling little comparison, though.

Aww. That's just because he doesn't have an upper lip. Don't make fun of his deformity!

And - I've just been reminded of this because I'm capping - the new soft-and-fluffy, emotion-having Daddy Adama continues to FREAK ME THE FUCK OUT. And not in a good way. I wish he'd go ahead and have his nervous breakdown or be revealed as a cylon or whatever, so that he can go back to his normal emotionless repressed self and never, ever smile at anyone again. God.

He and Roslin calling each other by their first names? Brrr. So very wrong.

at least he's stopped cracking walnuts is all I have to say.

Oh, god, I'm fighting the urge to laugh just thinking about the walnuts. Why I find the walnut-cracking hilarious and the hugging sick and wrong (and the first-name-calling, yes, ew) I don't know, and I don't think I want to know what it says about me. *g*

(Hee hee, the walnuts. I may have to make an icon.)

Stupid wrong version *grrr*.

It slowed explorer to the point of crashing every time I even opened the folder it was in, let alone tried to open the file. Seriously, wtf.

Yes, here too. I even had trouble deleting that file and my computer crashed a couple times. Gah.

Oh yes, she was like a second Starbuck, even talking a little bit like her (or maybe that was just me).

Sheppard is still not over that Wraith bug thing ;-).

I think she was changed the rhythms of her speech to sound more like Starbuck. Which rocked. And she was working the cute little pony tail for all it was worth!

Sheppard is still not over that Wraith bug thing

He totally isn't *g*

I really like the character they're developing--he's so obviously like, 16 at heart, with the violent rage, petulance, black and white view of the world and the insecurity about orders.

Yeah, exactly, he does have a very black and white approach to things, and you get the feeling that what you see is what you get and he doesn't really care if that's not what you wanted *g*

Hmm, I thought they got that he was lying. There were some significant glances at the time between Beckett and McKay.
