late night sci-fi sunday

meelievisited the house of fen today. Drove there in *my new car* and watched sg1, half of sga(it died halfway through! just watched the second half now) and the starbuck show.
sg1 kinda lame, scared of sams hair, vala better be okay. starbuck show, omg adama creepy with the walnuts! wtf was up with that and the model ship making? I hope he is over his getting shot trauma, because dude, fucking creepy. starbuck yay, lee can't do anything right, and the new cag they had to make grossly incompetent just to show apollo in a better light.
sga: really liked. but that may because it was a dh heavy episode and I am the most biased of biased people when it comes to rodney. ouch though. even more ouch the idea that you are left with that despite what happened rodney hasn't learnt his lesson. Sam blew up a sun, at least now rodney is in her league. it was the john and rodney show, which, yay, but it was more like 'the john trusts rodney apparently undeservedly and his faith in rodney is misplaced because rodney thinks he is always right even in the face of evidence that he does not know everything' show. which makes me sad.
I also liked the teyla and dex part, because it is reinforced that their morals and codes are not always in alignment with those of the earth forces. and teyla with the threatening, yay.
oh, and we watched somered vs blue eps. It's apparently called machinima, which is when people make small movies by manipulating video games(in this case Halo). and I gave sin some input on her new sga vid she's working on, and now the song is totally stuck in my head.
I will at some point post images of the terrifying garage of DOOM, which I battled again tonight. no hitting of the garage tonight, but I did knock one of my hubcaps off against one the railing of the downstairs balconies trying to get the angle right. oops. garage 2, meelie 0
