As predicted, I have yet to leave my lovely abode today, have been reading fic and lj, and finally watched "Prometheus Unbound" which I both liked and disliked, sometimes simultaneously. yes, yes, I get why Australian tv didn't show it, what with all the Atlantis references, but what is Channel 7 gonna do when Season 9 comes to town is what I want to know. I liked Novak and her hiccups, I liked Daniel calling Claudia Black a fruitcake, and trying to squish her head on the screen with his fingers, I didn't like the fact that someone would hesitate before giving someone mouth-to-mouth to save their fucking life. Sheesh! What was up with that? The kindest spin you could put on that would be that he didn't want to offend the general, but I'm sure Hammond, like myself, would prefer the boy-germs to, say, DYING FROM LACK OF OXYGEN.

I have also been sorting my songvids into lovely folders, trying to figure out what I didn't have backed up before my hard drive crash. Of course I had to make the sacrifice of watching some of the vids. Just to make sure they went into the right folders, of course. In celebration of um, putting things in folders, have some mp3's of the songs used in songvids that I like:

I just finished sorting all of *my* songvids into lovely folders on my new external hd - shall I burn them for you? Maybe I could fill some of the gaps.

I would! And I do! And I can now report that I have over 7gb of songvids. er.

I'll toss my fic on for you as well, maybe. That was already thoroughly sorted and formatted, though (all 350mb of it). Mmm, filing.

mmm, filing indeed. I am cross checking backups against more recent partial backups and getting rid of the duplicates! It is a rather nice feeling that is gained from looking at a lovingly organised folder, but crossovers always vex me: place in a crossover folder, in the folder of the universe the fic takes place in, or in the folder of the character from whose pov the story takes place? Is a dilemma.

and yes, to the fic. I swear, I'm not going to figure out whats missing till I want it. and then the searching and the gnashing and the tearing of the hair etc.

also, I may or may not have created a spleenhat community. If I did or did not, I may or may not say that I have no idea what to do with it next.

I applaudn you in your filing, for I am aware of the need to also sort out my stuff but have yet to do so..mostly because, where the hell do you start? and I'm not entirely sure the system I sort of have in place for popslash is the best way to do it. I tend to have pairing files and then everything be it fic or footage goes into it, except group stuff. but then what happens when it's not group but only say 3 of them? hence I have a heap of stuff unfiled.

Also your talk of Premetheus Unbound reminded me that Sin sent it home with and I hadn't watched it. so did this afternoon. thanks for the reminder. *g*

I always found pop the hardest to sort, because there would be so many pairings! and then inside of a pairing, if a popular one, authors. All my other fanfic folders are a bit easier as I'm usually an otp'er.
