This morning at work I got forwarded a time wasting type spam thing from one of my co-workers. "Celebrities back in high School!", with some scary hs photo's of celebs such as Missy Elliot, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Kid Rock, Justin Timberlake and Joey Fatone. The Justin is seriously baby!Justin. It's adorable. He's wearing a flannelette shirt! Someone was looking over my shoulder when I opened the image with Joey and didn't who he was. Poor Joey.

Last night before CSI came on, I saw the Justin McDonalds ad. I didn't realise till about halfway through that it even was his ad, so I wasn't paying close attention. Is he in it? Or just his voice? I didn't even recognise his voice till right at the end. And then had to explain the puzzled noises I was making to a dismissive Childhood Friend who still looks upon my recent pop conversion as the work of the devil. I'd rather she mocked my pop addiction to my face as Token Male does, such as last night he was telling me about how gay all boybanders are. I restrained myself from telling him that's why I like them ;)

In the version of the ad I saw, Justin was in it for all of about 2 seconds. He was walking through a door or something - I think.

hunh. Well I'm too lazy to go find out what the actual deal with the ad is, anyway I'm sure we'll be seeing it on tv a lot for quite some time to come.

Ok I haven't seen the ad, but I've seen pics of him from it. He's wearing a blue baseball cap and he walks down the street persuing some girl - trying to woo her or something. So I guess one could assume he'll be in it for a fair amount of time.

See, I thought that was from the video for the song, not the ad. But I could be wrong. Still haven;t seen the ad again yet.

As I said below... the shot of him that they use in the ad is from the video. So you're both right!

I've seen the ad a couple times. He's in it in the beginning for about a 2 second shot (and it's from the video). And his voice is in it for about two seconds at the beginning and 3 seconds at the end. The underllying music throughout the ad is all from his "I'm lovin' it" song. However the rapping in the commericial? Yeah, oddly enough, there is no rapping anywhere in the actual song.

So colour me confused by the entire ad. And I've even seen it multiple times. Why pay for an international pop star you're not actually gonna fully utilise in your ad?
