and now, a rant!

problems I have with and possible solutions to those problems involving temporal causality in the first season of primeval: okay. they found the bodies and the abandoned camp that they themselves would later make. therefore they are already living in the timeline that contains the results of those events.

the best solution for my happiness regarding the not making sense aspect of the use of time travel in this show(apart from 'a wizard did it') is that the anomalies are not actually or not just portals through time, but actually portals to other dimensions where either time has moved more slowly or humans have not yet evolved or no extinction level event wiped out the dinos. this would make sense - maybe when nick and ryan and the team were in the past the anomaly changed and the one they went back to was a different reality!

okay this makes less sense typed out than it did in the shower just now(where I do all my temporal mechanic thinking!). But still! that whole campsite thing MAKES NO SENSE. it either hadn;t happened yet, or had always happened or happened differently somehow to result in claudia and events being different which means that it didn't always happen so how did they find the camp with the skeletons and I HATE THIS SO MUCH.

Where are the physicists trying to figure out the mechanics of the freakin' anomalies instead of relying on a compass on a pocket watch chain. I'M JUST SAYING!

I think all the physicists were eaten by various dinosaurs. Or Helen kidnapped them, they had to figure out how the anomalies work and how to detect them and then she killed them all.

Have you started on season 2 yet?
