AND! EVERYTHING ELSE! tyrol and helo getting the crap kicked out of them! adama's bizarre half-naked freakout over the nature of humanity. Starbuck, pushed to the limit, but ultimately willing to go all the way, but not having to do it, the relief of pegasus' xo when he didn't have to go through either. I don't know why Ensign Ro backed off though, we saw no reason why she should, her whole 'don't flinch' attitude would seem to embrace the whole sticking to a plan to assassinate someone concept. she just suddenly had a magical change of heart? but who cares because her angry angry cylon ex-girlfriend (conveniently) totally blew her away! the whole baltar thing was excellent and I am once again totally confused as to the status/meaning of in-his-head-six.
I would say that I have confidence in the show and that they had this all planned etc, but listening to the commentaries and podcasts it doesn't really seem that way, like, they do stuff in the show and then figure out what it means. but they do it so well that I don't think I mind.

Date: 2006-01-15 08:51 am (UTC)LEE ADAMA IS SO TOTALLY A FRACKIN' CLYON!!!1!!!!1!!!
But...but...I don't want him to be one!!!!1! Kara will be very upset!!!111! I may possibly have shouted "and now, make out!" at them several times during this ep, although alas, they never listened to me. Why do they never listen?
Anyway, ahem. I'm beginning to suspect that you're right. AND I AM VERY UNHAPPY ABOUT IT.
adama's bizarre half-naked freakout over the nature of humanity.
That phrase nearly made me snort water up my nose. Well put.
ER's change of heart was very lame, yes. Also lame: ER's oh-so-conveeenient guilt-free death (even though it was awesome that broken!Six got to kill her), and Starbuck's (lame, implausible) eulogy. I hate to criticise my one and only, but come on.
I'm actually finding Gaius interesting, lately. It's a little creepy, and I'm not sure I like it.

Date: 2006-01-15 10:43 am (UTC)totally a cylon. totally. hey, maybe starbuck is one too and somewhere cylon!lee and cylon!kara are making out all the time! okay, no, there's no way starbuck is a cylon, but did you feel better? if only for a minute?
I know, the eulogy blew. You know she only spoke because there was an extrememly limited number of people who could get up there and not say something like "BURN IN HELL, SHE-BITCH! PARTY IN THE HANGERBAY!"
Used to be, Baltar scenes were the most painful for me(so embarrassing! having to cover my eyes and ears etc!), but now he's laying off the funny and ratcheting up the intense!creepy! and I think it's an imnprovement.

Date: 2006-01-15 11:21 am (UTC)No. No it didn't.
"BURN IN HELL, SHE-BITCH! PARTY IN THE HANGERBAY!"
*SNORT* OH, HOW I WISH STARBUCK HAD SAID THAT, INSTEAD. AHAHAHAA.
(so embarrassing! having to cover my eyes and ears etc!)
Exactly my problem! Yay for it stopping! I'm kind of fascinated by the Gaius/Six/Gina triangle.
