Still sick. This is the cold that will not die. I made myself go to work yesterday, as Mondays are busy days, with the promise to myself that if it was really bad I would just do the important stuff and leave at lunchtime. Managed to hang in till almost 4pm, despite losing most of my voice. Today I was all full of intentions to go into work, set my alarm, but did that whole hitting the snooze button as part of a dream thing and when I was conscious enough to look at the clock it was 20 minutes past when I should have left for work, so I called in sick. My voice is still mostly MIA.

I decided what I needed right now most was cake, so I got a slice of chocolate mudcake. What it turned out I really needed was chocolate icing. Mmm. chocolate icing. While I ate said icing I watched an ep of Season 1 Pretender. I found a torrent for eps 12-21 and couldn't resist! Alas, the quality is quite low, but Pretender! Jarod! Ms Parker! There was even an ad left in for an ep of 'Profiler' with original blonde chick and Julian McMahon. I really liked both shows back in the day, but nothing could excuse how bad the crossover episode was. So bad.

I have read, in between coughing and sniffling and sleeping, some good fic recently, due South and Smallville and Harry Potter and Buffy and I swear I would give links and recs if I wasn't about to go read Resonants new Stargate Atlantis story ;)

I love your icon! I used that effect on the cover for my Tom Cruise mix, but screwed up and gave him measles a few times. Oops.

I tried to watch TAR2 the other day, but my computer wouldn't recognise the file type of the first couple of eps. Do you know what I need to make them work?

That is odd, they are just avi files, I had no trouble with them. Did you run them off the cd or copy them to your desktop? Try that if you haven't then try and rename the file(keeping the avi extension) and see if that helps. If it doesn't, let me know which, and I'll reburn 'em for you.

You weren't caught up in the Terry vs Geoffrey conundrum? That's sad. :(

They aren't showing up as avi files for me. I'm getting AXN and AXNPL files, which I've never even heard of. I'm not sure if it's all of them, but it definitely affects the first four eps.

Sadly I was a bit eh, and a bit put out about Lex having cancer and it all being offscreen.

the full name of the first file is The.Amazing.Race.S02E01.-.The.World.Is.Waiting.Go.DSRip.AXNPL.N6.avi - so what is likely is that the whole file name got cut off somewhere. Re-name it something shorter and try again...

Hmm, okay, these files hate me. I copied one across to my HD, renamed it The.Amazing.Race.S02E01.avi, and from that point the file crashed Windows Explorer and Media Player every time I tried to look at it. I had to do a file search and delete it. Hate. <font size="1>Not you, the evil files.</font>
