slight case of death

Urk. Home sick today with something that might just be a bad cold, or possibly tonsillitis. Glands are all nice and swollen so I have made the decision to go see a doctor. which i normally don't when I am sick. but I feel crappy and can't swallow and I've been reading non-fiction so clearly medication is called for. I miss Dr Low. He was my doctor since I was like, 1 year old and he retired 2 years ago and now I have to go to the crappy medical centre with the crappy doctors and sit in the crappy waiting room with crappy people who will cough on me and infect me with even more crappy diseases. crappy.

my throat, she is sore

my completely unsatisfactory trip to the doctor has resulted in antibiotics and a self prescribed throat spray that tastes like crap but numbs my poor sore throat for short periods. I also returned from my trip with lots of apple juice and some hired dvds. I have just finished watching "Spellbound", which was quite good. I glimpsed someone who was a dead ringer for Byers leading one of the eliminated children off-stage and entertained myself for the next few minutes imaging what the horrible conspiracy behind the National Spelling Bee could be that the Lone Gunmen would be trying to expose. Or it could just be the throat spray. or the Abbocillin.
