I like Fridays, we have casual clothes at work(and I luuuuurve my jeans) and today it is with the not so much actual work to do and the checking of live journal. Which is as it should be.
I have 2 scraps of paper from the last couple of days that I helpfully wrote on what I wanted to post about when I had time(and inclination) to post. Which is now. The three points on my scraps of paper are:
* Robin McKinley
* Homicide
* Garth Nix ad
Firstly, people should go read the excerpt of part one of Robin McKinleys' new book 'Sunshine' which is here.
( Neil Gaiman likes it. and apparently he likes to read in the bath. )
B) I was looking through an old notebook from around 1999-ish the other night and found a quote from Homicide that I'd written down:
"What's wrong with him?"
"Oh, he's engulfed by demons"
I have no idea what episode that is from. I only casually watched Homicide back then, but knowing more now I'd venture a guess that the one of the characters quoted is Munch *g*
3 - I saw an ad for Garth Nix's second book in the 'Keys of The Kingdom' series "Grim Tuesday" in one of my Superman/Batman comics. Which made me go hunh. Go Garth Nix I suppose. But doesn't he look like a total tool?
