deep breaths

My iBook decided to test my panic threshold by unexpectedly forcing me to restart when I picked it up to continue reading RivkaT's latest SV fic that I was just starting. When I did restart, the screen was just flickering and rolling and would not restart all of the way. I restarted again, same problem. Left it shut down for awhile and did some quick looking on Token Male's PC. Could be a problem with the hinges or something, even though the apple website has nothing about this problem that I can find. Tried starting the baby again this time on a flat surface - success. Still have a few months left on the warranty if this problem doesn't go away(please god let it go away). I know a few people on my friends list have similar iBooks to mine, have you had any problems like this?
