followin' the crowd

1. What does your first name mean?

Industrious. But I swear many years ago I came across a book that gave an alternate meaning that suited me much better. I have never found this meaning anywhere else though...

2. What does your middle name mean?

Jane. Um. ::looks:: Huh. 'God is gracious'

3. What does your last name mean?

It's a variant on the Hebrew name 'Elias' or 'Elijah' and means something about God. 'Lord is my God' apparently.

4. So what does your name mean when put together?

Means I'm real industrious about God. Which I'm not. I never realised my name was so religious-y

5. What would you have been named if you were the opposite gender?

I don't know. Probably 'Edwin' which is my brothers' name. If he was a girl he would have been 'Edwina'. hee.

6. Any other name oddities?

Nope, not really. Just the butcherings people usual do to my name when I tell them it over the phone. It's not hard to say, it just seems to sound like a whole heap of other names to people. 'meelie' is a nickname deriving from my real name. Also, while my name wasn't common at all when I was growing up people lately keep telling me their niece/daughter/grandchild has the same name as me. It's usually nieces though.

cranky days

Had a very cranky day. Type of cranky where irrational anger seems only moments away from tears. I hate that.

Was very(only slightly irrationally, there were reasons dammit just not good ones) angry in a supermarket last night. Not even hearing 'Gone'(Gone!) play over the supermarket speakers could ease my rage. But it made me smile for a second.

My new bed is lovely. They did a really nice job with the stain and my mattress is all nice and firm and I have many, many pillow to lounge lethargically upon.

Eased my bad mood tonight by playing my 'Loud/Angry' mix cd while cooking dinner. Then laughed at some of the comedy Gala thing on tv and followed with icecream. Feeling much more human now.

Bought the Russian fake lesbian single with the cute manga style cover tonight. I also bought sheets(25% off! yay bargains).
