I am in mourning as my train station has replaced it's easy to understand and reliable timetable thing with the blue screens of scrolling death. Chucked a fit on the platform. Well, more like chucked a rant, but you get the idea.
I really like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers cover of "Havana Affair" from the Ramones tribute album that's getting a lot of play on Triple J recently.

alasen and housemate F. theirloveissohat indeed. So hat that non-slasher F picked up the vibe.
alasen has succumbed to the Way of the Sparkle, but only kittentrick. Which is good and all, but what about the trickyfish? And the timbertrick? And the JuC? and everything else? OTP my ass! There's just too much good stuff to be limited to just one pairing. I had fun going through all of the nsync fic by Amber pre-reading to tell alasen which were safe for her to read(safe translating as kittentrick! and happyending!), which ended up being not many for her to read but I enjoyed myself.
It's strangely quiet for a Monday. This makes me suspicious. What am I talking about, everything makes me suspicious!
Re-read "Firestarter" by Stephen King last week. Hadn't read it in years and some of the references made a bit more sense now than at 15 or however old I was when I read it for the first time. Such as the Tolkien touch in Rainbird being referred to as a 'troll, an orc, a balrog of a man' and someone being called a 'jd'(juvenile delinquent).
Also read "How Much For Just The Planet?", An Original Trek novel that I've had on my shelf for about a year and only just got around to reading. I'd seen it listed in a couple of people's first lines of favourite books meme that was going around so I dug it out. Was funny.
