(no subject)

So I spent entirely too much again this weekend, but I can totally justify my purchases! I bought new boots as my old Baxters were falling apart and I could see and touch my sock through the ripped stitching at the heel. They have lasted being worn almost constantly for what? 3 years? so they did well. The style that my old ones were they apparently don't make anymoew so that sucked but I managed to get some similar. Wore my new boots out of the store. Walked around in them all shiny and new and fought the urge to kick someone in the head ::grins:: Just to break 'em in.

Also bought a DVD player. Yay! Have been meaning to buy one for ages and now I have one! Bwahahahaha! Actually quite pleased with it, it's a Panasonic DVD-RV32 and it is off the spiff. Went to Betta electrical in Town that opened this week. It was $338 reduced to $328 and I had a voucher for 10% off so I only paid $295. Saw it in a david Jones catalogue for $399 and then I felt really smug.

Couldn't really do much else in town as I was dragging around my new dvd player and a bag with my old baxters' in a showbox so took myself home.

Hung out at alasen's place last night. I think we just watched tv....oh yeah, had a bit of a Sorbo-marathon watching Hercules(the one where Iolus goes into the 'light') and then Andromeda("The Honey Pot" I think? or maybe honey offering? eh, whatever) on Optus. And then more tv. and then sleeping.

Stole some of her DVD's this morning so I could check that the multiregion was working. It is. Now have no excuse not to go get SG1 season 1 and 2 from Amazon.com. And all the other US and UK DVD's that I want.

Gonna go read some more of alasen's copy of "Lirael" (by Garth Nix) now. Had forgotten how much I liked it.
