but it is early and my brain hasn't woken up all the way yet. Got into work early today. Just decided I might as well get in early. Ended up walking to the station with Token Male who's usually gone by the time I leave and he geeked at me the whole way about how he wants to buy more RAM. Which was okay as I told him of my currently unrequited love for a 40 GB iPod.

So last few days, um, I was gonna go see '28 Days Later'(zombie movie!) but Doesn't Have A Cool Nickname Yet bailed on me and I decided I didn't feel like going by myself so wandered down to blockbuster and hired "Bowling for Columbine" and "8 Women(8 femmes)"

"Bowling" was good and raised some interesting points but I felt it too often went off into unrelated tangents and while I know the almost sensationalism aspect of Micheal Moore's approach is supposed to be attention getting, at times it seemed kinda tawdry.

"8 Women" on the other hand was English subtitled crack. It's a french murder mystery set in a household of 8 women and one man and the man shows up dead so one of the women must be responsible. And then more no reason they all keep bursting into song! Or flirting with each other. My favourite had to be two of the women struggling over a pistol, falling to the floor still struggling and then start to make out. There was a twist at the end of course, but I found the end rather disappointing :(

So was up late watching stuff on Fri night but got woken lunchish by [livejournal.com profile] alasen wanting to know if I wanted to go shopping. Sure thing, says I, and we went shopping(my booty; a table tray thing for my iBook and the Dido single) then met up later at the station to go into town to meet up with people to see "Pirates Of The Caribbean" Arrr!! I've heard some conflicting opinions about it but I thought it was cute, very pretty with the Orlando and the Johnny Depp and the eyemakeup and howie as the figurehead for the ship

Had dinner at Genghis Khan's after but was rather rushed as PotC is a longish movie and Al had to get back to her car before the lot exploded or closed or made her pay $50 or something so we dashed off.

[livejournal.com profile] erilyn came over and we disgusted my flatmates by squealing over some teenie magazines(I have a whole heap o' mags I bought for Buffy related reasons that contain a veritable treasure trove of Backstreet stuff - Interesting fact learned: AJ doesn't like blowing his nose, like, ever, apparently) and watching 'For the Fans'. [livejournal.com profile] alasen and [livejournal.com profile] althea5000 showed up and we watched stuff, although mostly I just remember watching the Justin on Ellen interview and 'We are nsync' and talking. (sekrit message to box type people who were at Al's a few weeks back - Do any of you remember the context of the mean joke we were making about with Kevin and the others in BSB putting baby Nicky to sleep with blows to the head? Cause now I've typed it out it seems really sick and I remember it being quite funny at the time...)

After people were gone I got some teasing from my flatmates about my teenie tendencies but I ignored them. pah! they know not what they mock!

And was all boring, boring, work, work, mum's place, home. There was chinese takeaway which I assumed was mine but ended up wasn't, I watched some X-files and bid on an nsync watch-chain thing, and then tv(Malcolm in the middle), tv(Alias), reading, reading, sleep.

And today seems to be okay so far, Boss-type guy is out sick apparently, so I'm all by my lonesome. And since I came in early you bet your bippy I'm leaving early(I almost wrote 'I'ma leaving early' there. What's up with the 'I'ma' thing? Does anyone know?)
