boring 'what I did today' post

So slept in this morning after going to alasen's last night to watch her play with her new laptop. I got my baby out and pretended to make them talk to each other which freaked her out rather more than I thought it would. She is also in denial that her laptop is Justin. Really, all it needs is a sparkly bandanna and she'd be set :)

Woke up 1ish when the phone rang, alasen seeing if we were going to see "Finding Nemo" which we did and which was cute in a very 'there are some truly terrible emotionally wrenhcing scenes in this movie" type of way. Good previews, including one for another Pixar film "The Incredibles" and another remake of Peter Pan which looked remarkably dark and very sexed up if how close Peter and Wendy were when they were talking is any indication. I also loved a bit they showed where the lost boys or Wendy's brothers were being put in manacles somewhere and then they put down a teddy in manacles too! Teddy torture! What's not to love?

Did some shopping before the movie and had lunch. Bought an Electric Six single(note to self: look for the album in k-mart and buy it cheap), and almost bought the Kel and Alana Tamara Pierce books I didn't have but they didn't have all of them and I want to buy them all at once.

Got home, shifted the crap on my floor around, found the X-files tape I'd been looking for, and vacuumed. Watched "Ladyhawke" on dvd with DHACNY and made noodles for dinner. Then around 1/4 to 10pm she asks me if I want to go to the warehouse sale on out at Homebush that's open till midnight? Yes, says I and grabs my coat. To paraphrase Barbara Kruger, 'When I hear the word sale I take out my checkbook'. Can't resist a sale. so we get out there and it's almost 10.30pm and it's chaos. Heaps of people everywhere. Lost DHACNY for awhile but then found her again.

4(or was it 5?) pairs of really pretty stockings
3 pairs of spiffy boxers to wear as pj's
a really nice not too squishy-not too hard pillow(you can never have too many pillows)

total: under $70. score!

and now it's late because there was new zoo AU and kittentrick dreaming and even *cough* cartercest

should go to sleep now. nah.
