I sold my soul in a Blockbuster parking lot

Waiting for cake. Mmmm. Cake. Childhood Friend is coming home today after housesitting at the B&B she works at for the last couple of weeks and I foolishly said I 'might' make cake. She said she would cry if I didn't deliver on said promise of cake. So, vegan-friendly chocolate cake baking in the oven.

I had to go to the shops to get ingredients as we threw out most of our cake making materials in the move(don't ask) and on the way I stopped off at Blockbuster as they were having an ex-rental sale. Picked up 'Minority Report' and 'About A Boy' for $5 each on video, and 'Kissing Jessica Stein' for $10 on dvd. On the way out there was a Black Thunder truck in the parking lot. For non-Sydney people that's a car from a radio station that gives away free crap. And I am a sucker for free crap. I mean. I have no shame when it comes to free crap. It's rather degrading really. When I got out there I got some mints, a bottle of juice and then a copy of 'Who magazine'. Then they gave out raffle tickets and I won a dvd of the craptacular 'Just Married'. They made me and the other winners wait and have our photos taken with our 'prizes'. I held the dvd in front of my face. Then I bolted with my booty. arrrr!

Got to the shops eventually, got my glasses tightened(now, of course they are too tight for my fat head, but at least they're not falling off anymore), got an iced chocolate in the name of JC at Gloria Jean's, bought "Poodle Hat" and the Animatrix soundtrack for about $20 each ot Target, looked at the puppies in the pet store, looked at J-14 in the newsagency and ended up buying some other magazine that has 'mega' posters of both Justin and JC, finally went and got cake makin' stuff and caught the bus home.
