let me tell you instead of the weekend! on the weekend I went to the library to borrow "the passage" and managed to borrow 3 jayne anne krentz/amanda quick historical para normal books. and then I picked up an iced mocha(it was HOT on sat!) and then I went and got my repaired exercise bike from far away(and guess what? IT IS FUCKING BROKEN AGAIN ALREADY I GIVE UP) and then I saw my mum and got her lunch. my brother has bought the hugest 3D sony led you can get which he can NO WAY afford but pfft. and then I went to meet ms alasen for ikea-ness. but she was running late so I ate my lunch and played with her baby kitty! SO ADORABLE! and then we went to ikea -

::at the entrance, a staff member wearing a viking hat::
meelie: CAN I BUY THAT HAT INSIDE?
lady wearing an awesome hat: what?
meelie: YOUR HAT. I WANT ONE.
LWAAH: It's for sale? inside? somewhere?
meelie: HAAAAAAAT
meelie:::looks for hats in vain. sees many ikea staff wearing hats, indian headbands, flying cap etc but cannot find the place where the hats live. we come to the checkout. there is a lady with a ladybird hat::
meelie: YOU HAVE A HAT WHERE DID IT COME FROM?
ladybird hat lady: what? they are in the kids section?
meelie: BUT I LOOKED THERE. I SAW NO HAT. ESPECIALLY NO VIKING HATS.
ladybird hat lady: do you....want my hat? ::offers me the ladybird hat::
meelie: No. I wanted a viking hat, that I could wear all the way through the store and then abandon at the till. But thanks!
LHL: ::looks stunned::

also, [livejournal.com profile] alasen and I wore the same shirt but didn't realise until we got in the checkout line. Mine was black and hers grey but we both thought this was supposed to be the future.

and then on sunday there was high tea for [livejournal.com profile] iibnf's bday! fancy lady tea! with delicious cakes and tiny sandwiches! om nom nom. I ate so much!

but today was work and blah blah blah and I cannot wait till my holiday in january.

I am reading a sherlock werewolf!sherlock/werewolf!john story that is not horrible so far! I will keep you informed on the status of it not sucking.

hmm, do I want to start reading a new book, read some fanfic or watch 'the event'? I don't hate the bits I have caught so far - I like the aliens! but I am most familiar with Jason Ritter from Joan of Arcadia so it's weird seeing him running around....
